"Ècusson,
meaning "badge" in French, is a
classic 1947 fragrance from Jean d'Albret.
The rich floral bouquet is enlivened with
brilliant aldehydes, organic ingredients derived
from natural or synthetic materials. Aldehydes,
popularized in the early twentieth century,
add a vivid, quick quality to top notes. The
result is an elusive scent--unique and unforgettable.
Stored
away for many, many years. I do not think
the bottle was ever opened, but some of
the gold "string" has unwrapped.
Bottle contains 2 oz, but a small amount
is missing from evaporation. Outside of
the box is in good condition, but there
is some foxing (light brown stains) on the
white part the bottle sits on. Bottle measures
5 3/4" and the box is 7 1/8" tall.
